Mads About Town

Doggie Style with PetsPyjamas

Pampering pooches has always been a beloved pastime for the posh. Just take a look at this happy little fellow using Her Majesty’s knee as a pillow.

Less blue-blooded, but more available for a quote on the subject of spoiling canines, was Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue, who is promoting new pet website PetsPyjamas.

I asked Rosie what her picks were for her Dachshund, Noodle, and she said: ‘she has a huge wish list on the site, including a lot of Mulberry items. She has the New York Taxi Bed at home which she is obsessed with, and also loves her Kat Maconie pink collar and lead.’

Once you’ve entered into the spirit of dressing up your dog, it really is quite fun. The website is a little like Net-a-Porter for hounds (and horses, for that matter) – you can search by breed, find a doggie spa or even look for a dog-friendly hotel to holiday a deux at. For a dog-lover, and dog-spoiler, it doesn’t get better than this.

I fell a little in love with this fluoro collar, which I thought would be really quite fetching on my chocolate labrador.

N.B. Cat people – as much as we dog people don’t understand your love for the less-loyal house pet, this brand sympathises with your infatuation and indulges it, too. Just not as much.
