I really like Sue Devitt make-up. The colours are flattering and this clever lady has added skin-care ingredients to all the products, so you can give your skin a bit of love whilst looking good.
The Day & Night Neutrals Palette really does what it says on the tin. It is a selection of very wearable colours in a slim, but sturdy, metal palette. You could easily accommodate this in your handbag and use it on the commute to work (we’ve all been there) or to top up post-work/pre-drinks.
The triumph is really in the colours chosen – they are foolproof. The eyeshadows comprise a brown, which is ideal for lining with the brush provided, and two paler shadows – one for lids, the other for highlighting. I applied this with fingers for best effect.
The cheek colours are great for a bronze and blush so long as you’re not too tanned but, alas, the brush provided is a little shoddy and small. It could all go a little wrong if you apply with this – use a flattened, handheld tissue instead or, if you’re a prepared sort and carry tools, a retractable bronzer/blusher brush.
The lip colours are brilliant. There’s an inoffensive and natural pink, and then two more fun colours for drinks post-work. The lip brush is fit for purpose and also seems rather durable – good news for those who have encountered the persecution of a make up brush fibre in lipgloss.
This is the finished look, using the lightest gloss:
This is a really good buy for people who often work late and need a bit of grooming en route. If you plump for this, I think you may just end up liking Sue Devitt as much as I do.
