When I received Rodial’s Glam Balm Multi and Glam Balm Lip in the post I was all excitement. I am massively into the handbag multi-tasker and thought that the slick design, coupled with the rave reviews, would mean I would never leave my house without this duo again.
The good news is that I’m addicted to the Glam Balm Lip. As well as feeling seriously good on the lips, this soothing balm also smells of roses (it is packed with rose wax, shea butter and vitamin E) and looks good on – like a subtly pink lip gloss. The official line is: ‘filling spheres inject volume to plump lips and fill fine lines, smoothing imperfections for a flawless appearance’. Basically, it makes the most of your natural lips. Here it is on mine to give you an idea of the look it will help you achieve:
So there’s the good. The bad? I didn’t love the Glam Balm Multi. I really tried with it. I put it on my face (it wasn’t overly moisturising), put it on my feet and hands (same story there) and tried it as a smoothing balm for hair. I just couldn’t understand how I couldn’t like something with such glowing reports – I am usually blown away by cult products.
I passed it on to my sister, in the hope she’d see what I couldn’t. She wasn’t overwhelmed either. It is with a heavy heart that I say that I wouldn’t use this again and wouldn’t recommend it, especially not at £49. Yeow.
I am, however, still a Rodial devotee and am moving on to test their Skin Bleaching Mask next with the hope of better results… Watch this space.

I think they changed the formula for the Multi. I am trying to find out this exact thing before I buy. The description used to mention collegen and calming properties. Now it mentions hyraulonic acid. Not sure if it is the same or not. I have seen rave reviews for dry skin sufferers as well. Still searching….
Hi Teri,
I’ve spoke to Rodial about your question and here is their response:
‘Yes, the formula for glam balm™ multi has changed although it still contains many age-fighting ingredients such as 3D Hyaluronic Filling Spheres which instantly hydrates to smooth skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The product also contains Calendula, Shea Butter and Vitamin E which soothes, calms and nourishes skin whilst also promoting elasticity.’
I hope that helps. What kind of product are you looking for?
