Lots of good things have come out of Australia. Neighbours, for one. Geoffrey Rush, for another. Little Kylie (you knew that was coming), and Nicole Kidman.

Then there’s One Skin System. These Aussies have just nailed it with their Trial & Travel pack. I took it away with me recently and found the entire experience agreeable.
Firstly, the packaging is brilliant for travel. The mesh bag the kit comes in is see-through, waterproof and slipped between layers of clothes in my suitcase easily. It contains a cleanser, night moisturiser, day cream, scrub and a little mirror – really everything you need to care for your skin for a few days, bar eye cream. The syringes the products are in are also clever – ideal for storing upright in one of those hotel glasses next to the sink, plus they allow you to dispense just the right amount in your hand.
The cleanser, containing purple waterlily and passionflower, smells vaguely floral and quite delicious. It is creamy, but managed to get all my eye make-up off with the help of the ultra soft Organic Microfibre Cloth.
The star product in this range is the Vital Night Regenerate which I would unequivocally buy again. Yes, it’s expensive, but it is packed with skin boosting goodies, and my skin drank it up hungrily. Each time i’ve used it I’ve woken with baby soft skin, and we all know about night time skincare having double the impact of everything used during the day, so if you’re going to go all out, do it at night. This, more than any other product I tried, feels as if it really represents the ‘purity fused with science’ company motto, and is well worth the investment for anyone who works hard and wants to focus on helping their skin regenerate overnight.
Another triumph of the range (if they aren’t telling porkies) is the fact that it can be used by all skin types – this really is one skin system for all. It worked for me. Finally, I liked the background to this company – three women in a family who wanted to look and feel good but still have scruples – check out the ethical mantra here. A really good organic skincare range which is highly effective and designed to fit seamlessly into life, especially if you happen to be a busy bee. Which I am. Which is why I will be stocking up. Thank you, Australia.
